How We Serve

Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). Christ’s commandment to “love one another” includes serving each other as a method of showing that love.

In the Book of Mormon, King Benjamin, an ancient prophet, said, “And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness” (Mosiah 2:41).

Following God’s commandments—including His commandments to love and serve—guarantee an everlasting happiness that surpasses anything we can currently comprehend.
