Here is a recent letter from Elder Gee:
Good week this week! We got two more on a soft date for baptism! We are teaching couple, Roberto and Wendy. Roberto is from Mexico and Wendy from Honduras. They have been progressing really really well. They read all the pamphlets and fulfill their commitments. We discussed the Gospel of Jesus Christ for our last lesson and talk with them about baptism. At first they had some questions about authority but when we explained it to them they understood it and accepted it. The spirit definitely helped me with that one. I wasn’t sure how I was going to explain it but as I started talking things just started coming to mind! We tried to set them on date for the 14th of October but they thought that was too soon so we set a very far date for the 28th. Unfortunately they and Jose didn’t come to church this week. Hopefully they will start coming.
We are teaching this one lady named Dionne, she is the cousin to a less active we are helping to re activate name Brother Rock. She knows a little it about the church already. Apparently when she lived in Colorado she took a seminary class. We watched with her the movie Joseph Smith Prophet of the Restoration, which went really well. The spirit was so strong and by the end of the movie she was crying. We gave her a Book of Mormon and challenged her to reading the first chapter. Unfortunately she also has cancer, which is a bit of an barrier because she isn’t always feeling up to meeting with us. We were supposed to met her on Saturday but she texted us saying she wasn’t feeling up to it. Hopefully we can meet with her soon.
“19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.”
