Savior of the World: Taking It Across the Country

Here is one family’s experience with Savior of the World- via an e-mail sent to the director:

“We took a little trip to Salt Lake this past weekend to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert (which was amazing).  We were in the hotel putting our kids to bed, and I looked around and had to smile at all the Savior of the World t-shirts.  Just thought you might like to see that our family is still feeling grateful for the opportunity to bring Christ into our Christmas season!  Thank you!”

“Highlands Ranch Stake has done a fabulous job and such a professional performance!  Countless names I am sure, but a standing ovation and accolades to all!  Those little ones were so well behaved and your voices were just beautiful!  Thank you for adding to the Christmas Season.”

I’m still vibrating with excitement from your performance last night. So many scriptures pulled into one drama. So many tender, sweet, loving interactions! My testimony of angels, prophets, resurrection, the Savior being the son of the Highest, and of the way Heavenly Father announces great events to His children–all these principles were there to reconfirm our testimonies. What an amazing sight you all were. The sound of the chorus, the joy of the dancers and the sight of families together in ancient and modern times all added to this great production. I feel like we all, including my neighbors, were flooded with light and truth! Tell everyone thanks and give them hugs.”

“It really is amazing!  You have done an incredible job on it”

“I got tickets and saw tonight’s show.  It was really, really well done.  I highly recommend making it a top priority for everyone.  It is such a great way to start off the Christmas season with such a wonderful musical about Jesus Christ.  Go, invite friends, and enjoy!”

“Another wonderful night at the play—we felt the spirit strong—I had lots of goose bumps and tears!  Thanks you Savior of the World cast and crew!

Savior of the World Part 4: Production

Finally the anticipated dates arrived: The final production of Savior of the World! There were five performances total- one on the last Sunday of November, and four the following weekend. Word spread quickly throughout the region about the spiritual blessings many received while watching the production, the professionalism embodied by all who worked on the production, and the talent of all involved. Savior of the World tickets became the hottest tickets in town, and people drove from all over the state to see the beautiful depiction of Christ’s life.

Today we present some pictures of the production. Interspersed in between the pictures are some comments from audience members.

“I just saw the play Savior of the World.  Can I just say WOW!! What a beautiful production.  Everyone in it just touched my heart and soul with their performances.  One of the MANY memorable parts of the play was when the shepherd boy Nathan turned and went back into the manger, knelt down and kissed the baby Jesus.  Oh my, priceless.  Thank you to all who have worked so hard on this play, Im looking forward to watching it again tomorrow night and later on in the week.”

“Highlands Ranch Friends…..If you haven’t gone to see Savior of the World-find a ticket-it was AMAZING!!!!  Bring a tissue or two!”
